RIDE SAFE: Year 8 pupils have been challenged about car safety in a special road safety show. Talking Point, run by Cornwall Council, aimed to challenge perceptions and preconceptions around being ‘just a passenger’, including the dangers of distracting a driver. Children from Saltash.net Community School, Bodmin College and Looe Community Academy took part and road safety officer Tracy Porter said: “Theatre in education is an excellent way of making young people realise the responsibility of keeping themselves and others safe. We hope this performance will help them remember the importance of this every time they get into a car.”
