Arsonists are thought to have started three bin fires in Falmouth in the space of seven hours. Firefighters were first called to the Dell Car Park, on Avenue Road, at 12.14am yesterday and then to a bin on fire in the car park on New Street two minutes later. They also dealt with a bin that had been set ablaze near Ships and Castles, on Castle Drive, at about 6.40am. “Arson puts both the public and firefighters at unnecessary risk,” a spokesman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said. “It ties up resources that could be in demand for other more serious incidents.”
