Two people are on police bail after police discovered a large amount of cannabis in production at their Totnes home.
Police executed a warrant at an address in the Bridgetown area of the town on Friday 13 July 2012.
Once inside the flat, officers located and seized around 60 cannabis plants in various stages of growth – some as tall as 3 – 4 feet in height.
Officers have estimated the plants, once harvested, would have a street value of around £15,000 to £20,000.
As well as the plants, other cannabis exhibits – from cannabis being dried to that being turned into resin – were also seized.
Growing equipment was seized from the flat as well as more than £2,000 in cash.
A man aged 26 and a woman aged 19, both of who lived at the address and who were present at the time, were taken into police custody on suspicion of production of cannabis.
They were released later on that evening and are required to re-attend Torquay Police Station on 11 October to answer bail.
