An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with the death of a woman who was knocked down by a car has been released on bail.
The 47-year-old woman from St Austell was hit by a Citroen Saxo in Tremayne Road, St Austell on Thursday, suffering serious injuries.
She died at Derriford Hospital on Friday.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the man and woman knew each other and the death was being treated as unexplained.
The incident is being investigated by officers from the force’s Major Crime Investigation Team and St Austell CID.
A spokesman said the man had been released pending further inquiries.
