TRAIN buffs had a treat on Saturday when two vintage diesel locos visited St Erth en route to Mazey Day.
The 05.00 from Birmingham, pictured, a 1960s Deltic D9000 called Royal Scots Greys, was hauling 13 coaches, including Pullmans, and stopped at St Erth so passengers could travel on the St Ives branch line.
She was preceded 30 minutes earlier by a powerful Class 37S engine with a similar number of luxury coaches from a bygone era, but she steamed straight through.
