A HAYLE woman has won the competition to choose a new name for the town’s only shopping arcade.
Pratt’s Market will be renamed Foundry Shopping Village, but the woman who came up with the winning suggestion wanted to remain anonymous and has offered to donate her prize money to St Julia’s Hospice.
Rob Taft, 57, who owns craft shop Meritorious in the market, said: “I think it’s absolutely brilliant, and we’ve already had some great feedback with positive comments about how this fits in with the new development and regeneration of Hayle.
“Two regular customers said it’s like a village, and it’s a happy village.”
