THE OLDEST had reached more than a century and the youngest was just three weeks into the world when this family held a get-together last week.
The family met at the Hayle home of 101-year-old Dorothy Ellis to celebrate the birth of Riley Liam Quinn, who was born on January 3.
With them were Dorothy’s daughter and grandmother-of-seven, Christine Dowrick, 69, who also lives in Hayle, her daughter, Jane Dowrick-Kessell, 47, and Jane’s son, Liam Quinn, 26, new dad of Riley.
Shortly after the gathering, Dorothy had to be taken into respite care and Liam headed back to Brize Norton to rejoin his RAF regiment.
Christine told The Cornishman: “It was a celebration of Riley being born. We thought it would be nice to get us all together before Liam had to go away again.”
